Park Bom and SECRETS.

I watched both of those LEDApple videos. I like them. I'd seen one of their videos before, but I didn't really like it because the main guy had bad hair and it was a rock band, and their always kind of weird.

Though they seem to have figured their stuff out. The first video was really cool and that girl is super cute. SUPER CUTE. I didn't understand the end, though.

The second video was really fun too.

Ok so I have to talk about something pressing....

and here it is:

Ok, this girls name is Park Bom and shes arguable the cutest girl....in the world.

I have a picture of her on my wall and sometimes I just stare at it and think, wow. Seriously?

OK, in other news, today is May 1st, and the 2PM-miss A contest thing ends on the second.

So here it is again.

Just...in case you want to be awesome and give me like ten views. I know what you're thinking,
Ten views?

But just to put things into perspective, there are about 1300 videos now. Obviously a majority of these don't have a chance because they added them like, today or yesterday. (there were quite a few with 0 views. How is that even possible?) But anyway, I have 260 views, and every one counts. Thank you for supporting me. If I have just twice as many views as I have now, then I will have a much better chance of being one of the finalists.

But I came across the strangest thing while I was trying to figure out just about how many videos had more views than mine, and it triggered a de-ja-vu that went something like this,

"Unnie, are you going to submit a video?"
"Eh, I thought about it, but I'm not going to."

Well. WHELL.
(I had to reach into the deep recesses of the Network's memory to retrieve this little treasure.)

I found, not one, but two videos by my own twinsie.

I am also having another de-ja-vu that goes something like this:

"Unnie, can I watch the next Dream High without you since you won't be around very much and I have time right now?"
"Yes, you may."
"Thank you!"
*almost an hour later*
"Oh unnie, this episode is just incredible, you must watch it as soon soon soon as possible."
"Oh yes?"
*about four hours later*
"Oh unnie, please watch that episode, its so amazing. Watch it when you get home."
"I have a confession, Michelle. I watched that episode before you did, last night, while you were gone."

Me:

Its not that you watched it without me or that you entered this contest, its that you didn't tell me. Or that you thought I was too sensitive to know or something.

The song you sang was pretty legit, I like the song, and I like you singing it. You have a good voice even though you abuse it by being a cheat and backstabb--

And the other video was pretty much exactly like mine, just executed better. You were even wearing glasses like me!

That's all for today.

Template

I changed the template because its time for new beginnings.

Just kidding, I got bored of the backround. We've had it since the beginning.

Also new beginnings is redundant. All beginnings are new. (you're welcome, Angela)

I'm watching You're Beautiful again, and for those of you who don't know what this is, (or don't remember my Shinwoo blogs (search the blog for Shinwoo and you can see my beatimus 'seventeen to one complete victory' poem)), Its a show which the concept of would be hard to explain in just words, so I'll have my gifs help again.

So you start the show and the REAL story starts about an episode in and you're like,
And then you realize, She's not going to get with the guy you want her to get together with, and you're like,

And then things start to work out and you're like,
And then they stop working out and you're like,

And then, even though things don't really work out, in the end you're like,

And by that I mean, "You successfully made me feel a very large range of emotions. well done."

Anyway, in other news, we went to a Japanese restaurant last night, and it was pretty totally delicious.

But maybe the best part was that the 20-some year old white people sitting next to me were debating about the differences and similarities between Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Kora, which is the new show.

No I'm joking, the best part was the food because it was 진짜 맛있다.
Also watching those crazy people cook some crazy vegetables.

I'm pretty sure that yesterdays weather is my favorite kind of weather beside totally sunny weather. I know, crazy dark spring thunderstorms and sunny weather are totally different, but there's something about spring thunderstorms that are so cozy and wonderful. I just wanted to stay inside all day and do cool cozy stuff.

and then it stopped raining and we went shopping and it was cool and humid and it smelled like greeness.

On Saturday we did the market and it was a really really pretty day. We sold like a ton of plants. maybe 너무. People continue to make it sounds like 22 dollars for a basket that is beyond beautimus it way too expensive. I have a theory that more people would buy them if they were 25 dollars because everyone has 20 dollar bills from the ATM and they don't like to break a 20 for 2 dollars. I dunno. I hate breaking 20's.

Amy I can't wait until you get home. I will pass the time by learning both Ring Ding Dong and Replay, (did I mention I love SHINee?), and then we can dance them together.

We can also sing a song together. Something beautiful and english, maybe, but we should also learn Cotton Candy (maybe we need a kazoo or a ukelele.) and My Heaven.

Why I want to go to Korea

Since the blog has been a lot of this

 and this,
lately, and I'm thinking that people

(wait wait, wait wait. Amy. Taemin is Wearing a GD&TOP shirt in that gif. That or....)

May have forgotten or never known why I really want to be an exchange student in Korea.

Its not (mostly) because I like this guy,

 Or this show.

Yes, yes, the reason I wanted to learn Korean in the beginning was so I could watch Lee Min Ho without subtitles (and Amy, I still hate subtitles), but that's evolved, somewhat. I don't want to go to Korea just because of the pop culture. The pop culture of a country says little about the country itself, and I am very aware of that.

When I started to learn about the culture itself I was really fascinated because I've never learned much about a culture that wasn't very westernized, or was so old. I mean I know that there are a lot of old countries, its just Korea was the first one I really learned about.

I like they're manners and their traditional clothing and houses, and that has a lot to do with why I want to go, so I'll tell about all that stuff:

One of the first things that became apparent to me was that they're very respectful of older people. You add a respectful ending to words if you're speaking to someone older than you or a stranger.

That's not really a thing in America, and I think its cool that they are respectful to older people because the know that f you're older you're wiser and more mature, whereas in America we have like a taboo on aging, which really sucks, cause its not like you can stop it or anything.

When you walk into a house, you take off your shoes.

Why don't we do that here? Its like when we buy food instead of making it even though its less-healthy AND more expensive. We'd rather vacuum than take our shoes off, even though its less work and the house gets less dirty, and the carpet doesn't get stained, and you're more comfortable, and it makes the house seem like more of a sacred place.

Korean traditional houses are called Hanok.
And something like this on the inside.

The deal is its like a long corridor that is almost a full square, and is attached at one side by a big wooden door. Its something like its own little walled city.

The corridor, since it creates a full square-like shape, makes a nice quart yard in the middle. where trees grow and they have whatever in there. Maybe some porches and a garden or something.

Then, inside of the corridor, are all of the rooms. They're mostly all attached, but are also accessible from the quart yard.

Traditionally, Koreans would sleep on the floor on little mats because the house was heated from a furnace which expelled smoke and heat via a crawlspace, so obviously the floor was warmer than a bed and mattress would have been. This may also be the reason they take their shoes off when entering a house.

Korean traditional dress is about the cutest thing I've ever seen,

It makes me kind of sad that America doesn't have anything like this that they can take pride in. And even if we do have anything like that, its really weird to wear it. No one wears pilgrim outfits ever. And if they do...
Some people wear civil war clothes, and if they do...

"I don't always wear Civil War clothes, but when I do...I'm in a re-enactment and I'm playing a confederate and its in a re-enactment of one of the battles that the confederates win so I get to shoot some yankees."

I haven't tried much of Korean food and I don't know if I would like it, but it looks DELICIOUS.

They eat with lots of sidedishes, so there's lots of variety. Usually you have your bowl of rice and then you put whatever you want on it.

Another thing that I think is really cool about Korea is when you become good friends with someone, if they're younger than you, they can call you Unnie if your both girls, Hyung if you're both boys, Noona if they're a boy and you're a girl, or Oppa, if you're a boy and shes a girl. The essentially mean older brother and older sister. Like I would call Amy Unnie. I like this because its respectful and yet really shows how close you are. I really like nicknames and stuff, so I think its cool that in their culture you call someone something other than their name.

And that's why I want to go to Korea.

Also because,

Yea fangurl.

Also Amy I logged into your Youtube and liked the 12 in 1 EXO teaser video.

You're welcome.

In Which I Display Emotions Through Gifs...Again.

Everyone who is not Amy will not understand this, so, ignore, if you please.

So I just finished City Hunter for the second time,

My reaction to finishing City Hunter the first time:

(I'm the blonde one, Amy's the brown haired one.)

And here's my reactions to finishing it the second time.

First is the preparation. "Yeah, I am not going to be effected by this as much as I was the first time. Bring it."
And then it starts happening and you're like,

"mmmm that....."

And then you're like,
But then you think about it some more, and you're like,

Yup. Just as bad as it was the first time.

In Which I Share Funny Pictures

because you really wouldn't believe how tired I am right now.

Since we're on a gif craze, its only appropriate that I add a few.

Also, I had to explain things like gifs, hashtags, trending topics, and memes to mom today. It took a while but I think she gets it, so thats another reason to have a gif or two.

This is what I feel like/do when its night time and I have to turn of the light in the basement.

When people say me and Amy look the same
How I do my hair after I get out of the shower.

Five people said they don't like my hair and I look like a boy.
How I feel when someone says, "No don't get up," right as/after I get up.

How I feel right now. So enthused.
