I am here to tell you a boring story that completely made my week when my week was already made.
The reason my week was already made, as you know, is because of the conversation I got to have with Yoonsun yesterday afternoon in which I was nervous and giggly and she was absolutely wonderful. And then she kindly invited me to visit her this weekend so she can cook a fully traditional Korean meal for me. Not even kidding, probably the best interaction I've had with a person since I got here.
Anyway, the other thing that completely made my week began with me watching this music video. I have heard a little bit about Busker Busker but I actually thought they were an American band who was making it big in Korea because of the two Korean members. But it is not so. Anyway, the music video brought joy to my heart. Sometimes there are songs, and you may not relate to this at all, that I don't think are particularly catchy or musically innovative or whatever, but I still love them to death because they're happy, calming, and they make me feel a little more joyful after listening to them. I feel that way about Busker Busker. I also feel that way about CN Blue. They are pretty similar after all, since they're both bands that started on their own with a group of friends and weren't manufactured by a huge entertainment corporation. I can respect that.
But the thing that really made my day was when I looked up Busker Busker because I wanted to see what a white guy was doing in a Korean band (has this ever happened before?), and it turns out that the two Korean guys were buddies at university, and they knew the white guy because he was also at their university... as an English professor.
...I'm ready to go!
Now that I know these things are possible, and that at least one English teacher was successful in life, I am happy.
Let's do a dance cover! ...oh wait.
Other than these things, life is pretty uneventful. I have said before that I am ready for this semester to be over. It is still true - indeed, it is about three times as true as it was when I last said it (Sunday). I have mixed feelings too though, because honestly I'm not the biggest fan of summer either. I want to get a summer job so I don't feel like a complete vegetable for three months. Like I've said, being a complete vegetable is only fun for the first couple of hours. Then it's just depressing.
